Waterperry Gardens – Wednesday 9th September 2026

Join us for a delightful late-summer day out as we visit the beautiful Waterperry Gardens, located just outside Oxford and renowned for their classic planting, peaceful atmosphere, and horticultural heritage. This outing has been planned as a relaxed day excursion, allowing plenty of time to enjoy the gardens at an easy pace. Waterperry Gardens are one of England’s most famous ornamental gardens, originally developed as the home of the School of Horticulture for Women in the 1930s.

Today, the gardens are celebrated for their long herbaceous borders, formal knot garden, rose garden, Saxon churchyard, canal walk, and extensive lawns, all set within an elegant and tranquil landscape. In September, the borders are rich with late-season colour and texture, making it an ideal time to visit.

During our visit, there will be time a guided tour of the gardens and a fresco tour of the house. Also allowing time to explore the gardens at leisure, enjoy the on-site café for lunch or refreshments (lunch is not included in the cost), and browse the well-stocked garden shop and plant centre. This visit is perfect for keen gardeners and those who enjoy a gentle stroll in a classic English garden setting.

The cost of the day is £49.00, which includes coach travel and entrance & guided tour of the gardens and a fresco tour of the house.

To secure your place, please book and pay the full balance by Friday 31st July 2026
