Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens & Forde Abbey Gardens - Thursday 31st July 2025
Our summer outing this year takes us to two spectacular gardens in Dorset and Somerset.
We begin the day with a visit to Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens, aiming to arrive at around 10:45am. This unique coastal garden boasts a rich collection of exotic and subtropical plants set within a sheltered valley, offering wonderful colour and variety at this time of year.
After lunch (available to purchase on site), we continue to Forde Abbey Gardens near Chard. These stunning grounds surround a former Cistercian monastery and include a diverse historic landscape, well-kept borders, and one of the highest-powered water fountains in the country — a true spectacle.
The cost of the day is £49.00, which includes coach travel and entrance to both gardens.
