RESIDENTIAL HOLIDAY TO THE GARDENS OF HAMPSHIRE

We are delighted to invite you on our brand-new Residential Holiday to the beautiful and historic gardens of Hampshire. This carefully designed four-day break brings together stunning National Trust estates, peaceful water gardens, fascinating historic houses, and the magnificent city of Winchester — all enjoyed at a relaxed pace with good company, wonderful scenery, and comfortable hotel accommodation.
This year we will be staying at the stylish Voco Hotel Winchester, known for its modern décor, excellent service, and peaceful setting. Each evening, join us for drinks before dinner as we unwind and enjoy the warm social atmosphere that our garden tours are loved for.

🌼 Day 1 – Monday 22nd June
Morning - Depart Bath - We begin our journey from Victoria Park at 8:30am (with all usual pick-up points available), travelling by luxury coach through the early summer countryside.
Afternoon — Hinton Ampner (Lunch & Gardens) - Our first visit is the elegant Hinton Ampner, famous for its beautifully structured formal gardens, rich planting, and sweeping views across the South Downs.
We enjoy lunch on arrival, followed by time to explore the gardens at your own pace — a wonderful start to our Hampshire adventure.
Late Afternoon — Settle in at Voco Hotel Winchester - We continue to Voco Hotel Winchester, where rooms will be ready for check-in. Take some time to relax, freshen up, or enjoy a drink before dinner.

🌳 Day 2 – Tuesday 23rd June
Morning - Petworth House & Pleasure Gardens
Today begins with a visit to the grand and impressive Petworth House, home to one of the National Trust’s finest art collections. Explore the remarkable state rooms, world-class paintings, and the vast grounds landscaped by Capability Brown.
Afternoon — Uppark House, Petersfield - In the afternoon we travel to Uppark House, dramatically positioned high on the South Downs with breathtaking views. This charming 17th-century house offers tranquil gardens, elegant interiors, and fascinating history — a perfect contrast to our morning visit.

🌸 Day 3 – Wednesday 24th June
Morning - Gilbert White’s House & Gardens, Selborne (This garden subject to confirmation as Dec 2025)
A delightful visit awaits at Gilbert White’s House, the home of the famous naturalist. Discover beautifully restored gardens, a warm and intimate house, and exhibitions dedicated to centuries of English natural history.
A lunch is included as part of our visit.
Afternoon, Winchester Cathedral & Historic City - We then head to the magnificent Winchester Cathedral, one of England’s most atmospheric and impressive medieval buildings. - Enjoy time to explore the cathedral, wander its peaceful grounds, or take a gentle stroll into the charming and historic city centre.

💧 Day 4 – Thursday 25th June
Morning - Longstock Park Water Gardens
Our final day takes us to the world-renowned Longstock Park Water Gardens, considered among the finest water gardens in Europe. - Wander over charming bridges, follow winding paths, admire lush planting, and enjoy a serene, calming atmosphere. A lunchtime meal is included to round off this beautiful visit.
Afternoon — Return to Bath - After this peaceful finale, we return to Bath, arriving in the late afternoon.


Details & Pricing
The cost of the trip is £599.00 per person. A single supplement of £99.00 applies. The price includes:
✔ Travel by luxury coach
✔ Hotel accommodation with dinner and breakfast
✔ Drinks before dinner each evening
✔ Entrance fees (except for NT gardens, where non-members must pay unless accompanied by a Life Member)
A £75.00 deposit pp secures your place, with the full balance due by Friday 24th April 2026.
